Choosing the right course in Australia can be difficult. There are many different courses on offer. Some are cheap, some are expensive. This is not about cheap courses, it is about courses that are in demand by employers in Australia.
1 Nursing
Nursing is one occupation that I feel will always and forever be in demand in Australia. Nurses are constantly overworked in Australia, because of the lack of qualified professionals. In fact, more work visas are granted for qualified nurses to Australia than almost all other occupations. There are many different nursing professions in demand in Australia including nurse practitioner, aged care registered nurse and surgical nurse.
2 Engineering
Even though the mining boom is over, there is still strong demand for all types of Engineering professionals in Australia. Qualified Engineers are paid top dollar in Australia and there is demand for all types of civil, mechanical and structural engineers just to name a few. However, students can complete a 2 year Associate Degree to become a qualified Civil Engineering Draftsperson for significantly less.
3 Accountancy
Both core Accountancy and Professional Accounting are in great demand at the moment. Job positions like Tax Accountant and Management Accountant have been listed on the MLTSSL. Additionally, candidates holding Masters in Professional Accounting (MPA) will also have excellent job prospects in 2018 and 2019.
4 Computer Science & Information Technology (IT)
Computer science & engineering graduates and software/IT professionals are desirable anywhere in the world. Australia is no exception.
Career opportunities are even better for Computer Science and IT professionals with hands-on experience in Machine Learning, Business Intelligence, Data Visualization, Data Warehousing, and Data Management. Higher salary packages can be expected if you end up in the Cable & Media, Telecom, Hospitality or Banking sector.
Tourism & Hospitality Management
Australia is famous for its breathtaking and scenic natural beauty. Australia is known as the land of dreams, and famous for extraordinary landscapes, laid-back cities, and gorgeous beaches, and attracts tourists from all over the world.
Be it Sydney, Victoria, Tasmania or Queensland – they offer a lot to travellers and outdoor lovers. Quite a few locations down under consistently rank within the top 25 holiday locations in the world every year on websites like Trip Advisor, Business Insider and World of Wanderlust.
